Data Acquisition Systems (DAQ)

Our experts in Finland, Sweden and Poland can manage large scale projects, which can be performed both at the customer’s premises as well as in-house whenever you have the need. We develop measurement and data acquisition systems using NI LabVIEW or PLC applications that utilize 3rd party off-the-self instruments, control devices and sensors. In instrumentation we use e.g., NI cRio or cDAQ platforms.

Systems are very often built on modular hardware which opens up the possibility to build scalable and mixed measurement systems to meet your specific requirements. Over the years, Etteplan has designed numerous custom-made systems. With our broad knowledge and vast experience of testing and software development, we can offer pilot studies, architecture design, turn-key implementation project, as well as maintenance and consultation.

Measurement and data acquisition systems designed by Etteplan are used in many applications such as impulse test equipment (ABA, Manuli, Specma, CEJN), test rig or testbed monitoring (eAAM Drivelines, Johnson Matthey, Valeo, Volvo Car Corporation, Parker Hannifin), calibration software (Saab Automobile, Volvo Cars, Volvo Construction Equipment), district heating measurement systems (Sörred Energi).

Our process

Work is done based on Etteplan’s process, but we can also adopt your process model in different product life cycle phases. By following a certain process, we secure smooth project execution and provide easy-to-pay solutions to our customers. Project documentation is created based on process phases starting from test specifications to FAT or SAT document.

Data handling and management

One crucial point in measurement and data acquisition systems is data handling and management. We can develop User Interfaces during the projects which are meant for online monitoring of systems.

Nowadays the amount of data stored in systems varies a lot. Especially in those systems where gathered data is the base for a control SCADA system, big amounts of data need proper storing services and solutions with which you can collect, store and refine data from systems, devices and services using today’s technology. We build automated data solutions that create easy-to-understand visualizations of the collected data examples in Cloud services.

Consultancy and maintenance

Etteplan also has services for different kinds of maintenance related activities, such as maintenance support either on-site or off-site and software updates.
