One-stop-shop for testing

Our test facilities cover a wide range of generic and specific product standard tests for various customer needs. Testing is always an investment but worth every penny.

The need for reliability and environmental testing comes as a requirement from authorities e.g. in the case of maritime, aviation, railway or road vehicle applications. In addition, the market has its own needs and requirements for environmental testing. Testing ensures reliability for the end users and product manufacturers. For example, if thorough testing is not conducted for consumer products, there is a risk for warranty claims, resulting in unnecessary costs. Regarding industrial electronics, although the volumes are low the devices are often used in business critical functions. Therefore, in case of a fault repairs themselves can be costly, more serious cases can lead to the paralysis of the whole factory. Testing the reliability and robustness of your products is a proactive measure to ensure quality, and protect your operations against unforeseen risks and costs.

Reliability and environmental condition testing

With our dedicated testing services and test equipment we can subject devices, products and materials to different accelerated lifetime conditions. These include for example climate and climate change, air pollutants, humidity, wearing, vibration, UV-light, chemicals, corrosion, mechanical impacts, IP-tests and other aspect simulating usage environments around the world.

We can help you all the way through the testing process including – test planning, test tailoring, testing, failure analysis, and result interpretation. We can also conduct lifetime predictions to extrapolate results from accelerated testing to real-time use.

Accredited Environmental testing

Etteplan Finland Oy holds the commercial Environmental test laboratory accreditation code T298 in accordance with requirement SFS-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017, giving us the ability to offer accredited Environmental testing. Etteplan Finland Oy’s scope of accreditation can be viewed on FINAS’s website.

Boost environmental testing with safety analysis

Our competence from both product safety and environmental testing methods enables us to deliver added value. We combine both services and assist you in determining what should be tested and at which severity. We will inform you of any possible issues – even if the test result would satisfy the test requirement that is currently evaluated. For example, you may pass the impact test required by product specification, however, we will always inform you if we know that safety standard requires higher impact energy that was used in test. We also provide the possibility to re-test with additional requirements.

Etteplan’s Corrosion Cube – Easy corrosion monitoring service for a variety of conditions

Are your products used in demanding environments? Every year corrosion leads to huge expenditure due to unexpected failures and maintenance costs. Corrosion can be caused by a variety of factors such as air pollution, humidity and temperature of the present environment also play a role.

Etteplan’s Corrosion Cube helps you measure the level of corrosion and corrosive elements present at typical use environment of your product or at your production site. Monitoring information can be used to determine corrosion rates for products and locations to make fact-based decisions as well as investigate failures caused by corrosion.
