Accredited Product Safety and Training

Are you familiar with EU directives, such as Low Voltage Directive (LVD)? Do you know which are the product safety standard requirements for your specific equipment? Don´t worry, we can help you.

Key Benefits
Avoid business risks caused by market surveillance product recalls
Reduce iterations during R&D phase by early implementation of safety requirements
Deliver high quality and safe equipment to customers

Product safety as a service

Product safety requirements are usually not the first priority in a project, but they should be placed high on the list. When delivering products to the EU markets, understanding the directives is the first step. Next step is to recognize the product standards.

Product safety requirements are often forgotten in the R&D phase which is usually revealed in the testing phase. We support you with identifying the relevant product standards and review your product against product specific safety requirements. This way your products will be aligned with the relevant standards and ensured to stay on the market.

Introduction to product safety requirements

The maze of directives can appear daunting, but in the end, product safety requirements are not that complicated. Product designers and developers as well as R&D engineers should be aware of the directives. We have the experts that can train them to take in account these essential requirements early on.

Product safety is indeed crucial as market surveillance authorities work actively on the market. They have several agents inspecting the products at shelfs, stocks etc. When a suspicious product is found, they are authorized to take samples for safety testing. If a product is found not fulfilling the essential safety requirements, market surveillance can restrict the sales and marketing of such product. In worst case scenario, the importer or manufacturer is forced to recall the products. This obviously may harm the reputation of the brand and end up being costly. To have full stock of equipment that can´t be sold will likely be a nightmare.
