Etteplan EMC, RF, IOP and Antenna testing

EMC, RF Spectrum, IOP and Antenna testing

Thorough testing is the basis for having any product released to the market. Product testing with our EMC, Conducted and Radiated RF Spectrum, Antenna, RF IOP and Radio Interfering Testing Services you can ensure that your devices conform to standards and regulations. Also, testing the performance of a device in the right kind of testing environment is of high importance as, for example, the radio equipment broadcast efficiency can significantly affect the end-user experience.

Key Benefits
Verified product functionality
Focus on relevant tests
Verified device interoperability
Speed to product development through antenna performance measurements

Be aware of the mandatory EMC tests

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests are needed, even mandatory, to ensure that electronic products comply with official requirements. Comprehensive emission and immunity tests are used to ensure that the product can operate without disturbances in various household and industrial environments. We offer a wide range of basic product testing and tests for product standards for wireless, industrial, railway, machinery and multimedia devices.

EMC testing benefits:

  • Antenna performance verification and design service will ensure excellent product functionality
  • Interoperability (IOP) tests verify the performance of a device in diverse radio environment
  • IOP testing also ensures the operation of the device’s own radio equipment in unison
  • Consultative pre-certification measurements prior to type approval tests save time and money

Ultimate combination of EMC, RF and Antenna testing

We provide all of the development work and standardized EMC and Radio Frequency (RF) testing as per your specific requirements. Mandatory RF measurements to cellular systems (GSM, GPRS, EGPRS, CDMA, WCDMA, HSPA, LTE/LTE M1) and non-cellular systems (WLAN, Bluetooth, Bluetooth LE, NFC, LoRa, WMBUS, 868 MHz, ISM etc.) prior to the market release are in the scope of Etteplan Test Laboratory. We are also able to significantly speed-up your product development, for example, with thorough antenna performance measurements.

Satimo Stargate 64 measurement chamber is used for active antenna performance measurement and design verification for common radio technologies (CDMA, WCDMA, LTE/LTE M1/LTE NB-IoT, GSM, Bluetooth, WLAN). It is also used for passive antenna performance for all radio systems within a frequency range of 300 MHz–6 GHz: gain, efficiency and radiation patterns. An efficient antenna design needs less power and may significantly reduce battery consumption. For an end-user, it is also important that the radio device, such as a cellular phone, functions in remote areas or otherwise diverse environments where reception strength is low.

Our offering: EMC, RF Spectrum, IOP and Antenna testing

Interoperability (IOP) testing of RF systems

Devices and environments with several RF systems disturb and interfere with each other. In our test laboratory we can measure the devices’ inner interferences from power sources, data buses, clock signals, processors, screens, memory circuits etc., resulting in immunity both to the interference caused by the device’s inner radio equipment and by external radio. The interoperability testing is important especially, for example, for medical equipment. We provide dedicated test chambers and automated tests for complex test cases, such as measuring all the receiver channels’ efficiency.

Problem solving and consultation from EMC and RF testing experts

Whatever the product’s EMC or RF performance problem, we will solve it using top-of-the-line expertise, automated measurement equipment and test environments. We can solve, for example, spurious emission problems caused by layout design flaws, interoperability interference from power source and antenna performance issues. We supply quick, cost-effective service.

Certification consultation, regulatory testing and product standards

We also offer certification consultation services and approval services on a turnkey basis. We can conduct a wide range of tests corresponding to product standards. We also cooperate with other test laboratories to supplement our services to a full one-stop-shop service.
