How Etteplan helped Raute reduce their cost for Additive Manufacturing

Raute had interesting parts which were previously manufactured by conventional methods and nowadays are 3D printed.

Etteplan started this project in order to help Raute reduce the costs for additive manufacturing. One challenge Raute was facing is the fact that additive manufacturing is a new field, and in most cases old manufacturing partners are no longer able to deliver these new parts. Therefore, new partner networks need to be built up. There are many new players in AM business and it’s quite challenging to find the right ones with manufacturing process knowledge, good quality assurance system and competitive pricing.
